Great Gray Owl 1 (Portrait)
A wise ole Great Grey Owl keeps a close eye on me in the woods of western Montana. I can’t describe how exciting it was to see the ‘Ghost of the North Woods’ after a long search and a great tip from a friend. Even though the Great Gray Owl is the largest owl in North America it’s mass is mostly attributed to its plumage. Conversely, the snowy and great horned owls are much heavier birds even though they are smaller in stature.
