A yellow warbler perches for a brief movement on a rather thorny rose bush just outside my home south of Helena. It has been a busy spring and early summer at the house, with the bluebirds, mountain chickadees, robins, wrens and tree sparrows all successfully raising their broods. But there are still a few varieties that are busy raising their young including the striking yellow warbler.
