Full Moon New Years 2018

Ow! Ow! Ooowwwllll! The ‘Wolf Moon’ greets us this New Years Day. It has been 19 years since the last full moon to land on January 1st. This full moon will be the largest of 2018 and the first of two full moons in the month of January. Historically, the ‘Wolf Moon’ gets its name from the Native American tribes in the northeast United States, who noticed wolves, who were particularly hungry in the early January cold, gathering in packs to howl at the moon.
