The tiny northern pygmy owl

Don’t forget to look up sometimes! You never know who might be watching you! The tiny northern pygmy owl, which is the size of a meadowlark, is one of the most ferocious hunters in the Montana woods. This little owl loves to eat chickadees and other small song birds. If you look closely you can see some remnants of its last meal!
