Kevin is a Helena, Montana based award-winning professional landscape, lifestyle and wildlife photographer capturing Montana and the western United States' most beautiful, fleeting and fascinating moments. He currently offers print sales, digital image licenses, commision services,  educational workshops and can often be found at his Gallery, 330 Jackson Street in downtown Helena

He has been a student of photography for several decades beginning as a teenager when his parents handed down their 35mm film Nikon cameras to him. Fast forward a few decades later, after being surprised as an underdog finalist in a local photography contest and with encouragement from friends and family, he established his photography business in 2015, fulfilling a lifelong dream and quickly becoming one of Montana's favorite new visual artists.

Kevin’s photography has been described as "transporting the viewer into a transcendent moment of awe" and having "a distinctive style, and eye and way of painting with light." In 20182019 and again in 2021, his worked garnered statewide attention when he was awarded grand prize of the Picture Wild Montana Photo Contest, and national attention in 2019, when he was awarded honorable mention in the Best of Show Photography Contest. In that same year, a feature story about his work was published on the front page of the Helena Independent Record newspaper.

His work has been published in the pages and on the cover of the prestigious Montana Outdoors photo issue and has been featured commercially, online, and in several regional travel and tourism publications, including a national billboard campaign by the State of Montana Tourism Office in the summer of 2019 aimed at attracting visitors to Montana.

In the summer of 2018, his work was exhibited at Helena's Holter Museum of Art in a show entitled A Treasured State. Kevin has invested significantly in Helena, frequently exhibiting work at local art walks and local businesses and donates prints and services to organizations whose missions align with his philosophies (ex. Prickly Pear Land Trust, Montana Wilderness Association, Helena Symphony, The Holter Museum of Art and others). He is also very active on social media (Facebook & Instagram).

Inspired by early conservation photographers, Kevin believes his ability to share the beauty of our last best places will inspire others to respect, protect, and enjoy them. Kevin has dedicated his career to conservation through his photography, educational workshops and as a professional with Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks.

Kevin League’s photos have a way of transporting the viewer into a transcendent moment of awe.... His photos are a vivid reminder of why we love Montana.
